Coalition for the Homeless
Specialists from the Cabell-Huntington Coalition for the Homeless provide life skills for Zone households. Skills include the development of job-readiness, promoting economic independence, home maintenance skills and more.

Child Development

Marshall University Child Care Academy
Licensed to serve 110 children, ages three months to five years, the Academy offers child care services to University students as well as other community members.

Mended Reeds Home for Children
This program has already established administrative offices and initiated a
foster care and adoption program. In addition, a Boys Youth Center in
Ironton offers a safe and supportive home for boys.

This program provides Behavioral Health Specialists at Cammack Middle School and Huntington High School to help reduce violence and substance abuse and

Primary Health Care
This program will offer uninsured or underinsured Zone businesses and residents improved access to primary care. It will also serve as the pilot for a statewide program.

Frederick Douglass Business Centre
Renovation and reuse of Douglass High School is now providing the community with a number of services. Ebeneezer Medical Outreach, the lead tenant, is a non-profit primary care clinic that has greatly expanded its service. In addition, workforce development and training programs are housed in the Centre.
