A Sustainable Future

When jobs are available and attainable, a community has more energy, more hope, and grows stronger and better. Our success in developing new jobs, whether from new companies coming to the area, or existing companies expanding, has been fulfilling indeed...but we still have plans for even more jobs – and an even better future – for our region.

Empowerment Zone Job Incentives
In partnership with the local economic development corporations, incentives are offered to businesses to expand within the Zone. Success has come in the form of new jobs from companies such as Amazon.com, InfoCision, American Foundation for the Blind and IC Logistics.
